Lino printing is one of the simplest printmaking methods.

This 1:1 workshop will cover:

  • safe and non toxic printmaking,
  • how to use your own images to make a linoprint,
  • how to print to various surfaces,
  • colour lino printing options and
  • inform you about material resources, editioning, and other applications for your prints once they are finished etc.

Expect to produce a few proofs of your image and to make a couple of impressions exploring colour and paper variations.

For complex images, QG&W offer an option to break up the workshop (ie. you carve your lino (matrix) away from QG&W and come back to focus on printing at another time).

Upon confirmation of your booking, we can discuss images for you to bring along, or if you wish, an image/images can be provided for you. We will inform you if we believe you should take the workshop in two parts.

This class will prepare you to use the access studio at QG&W should you require.

Call 03 4202 0942 to talk to us about what you would like to achieve.
