Peebles Print Prize 2021
Aug 30 10:00 am–Sep 27 4:00 pm
QG exhibiting artist and Queenscliff local, Graeme Peebles, is Australia’s leading mezzotint printmaker. Together, QG and Graeme Peebles established the Peebles Print Prize (PPP) in 2017, a prize aimed to be representative of the highest level of printmaking in Australia and solely focused on the intaglio technique. The success of the inaugural PPP17 and then following, PPP19 are proof of the ongoing enthusiasm for printmaking in Australian. Coinciding with the Geelong Gallery Acquisitive Print Award, the two prizes form a nationwide cultural focus for printmaking in Geelong and the Bellarine. QG is extremely grateful to PPP21 sponsors; 360Q, the Borough of Queenscliffe, the Streeton family, Oakdene Wines and 44 Frame Factory who assist to make the prize possible and for providing QG with the pleasure of being able to facilitate the PPP21.
