Artist’s Statement
Layered Symphony plays on the history of the Hunter Valley through to the beautiful beaches and Coastline. Inspired by the region’s natural rhythms and layered histories.
The flora and fauna that call the landscape home, the sea that shares its waves with sailing vessels and of course the living sea life we so enjoy.
I used a pianola scroll to bring song to the artwork, rolling the scroll to create hidden hollows for animals to peep out of.
