What personal data we collect and why we collect it


When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.


How long we retain your data

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Privacy Policy

We take the privacy and security of your personal information very seriously. We do not (and will never) harvest, sell, rent, lease, or share customer lists or personal information with any third party. Earning and keeping the trust of our subscribers is priority number one.

Copyright in all visual materials on this website are held by the author/creator. Copyright in all other materials and information belongs to QG&W. No material may be used for any purpose without prior written consent of the copyright holders.

QG&W aims to display its artworks, information and products accurately however is not liable for inaccurate or out of date product descriptions.

Note detail and colours of artworks may vary depending on your computer monitor.

Artwork prices on the website are quoted in Australian Dollars and include GST unless stated otherwise. Prices quoted for framed artwork exclude delivery costs.

QG&W calculates shipping after receiving your request and delivery specifications. We are able to ship securely with insurance anywhere in the world. Works purchased via the website will be processed and shipped upon receipt of full payment.

Artwork purchased requiring shipping will be quoted to the purchaser of the work. The purchaser can decline the quote and receive a full refund on their transaction.

Once your order has been received you will be contacted within 2 working days (please refer to our contact page for gallery closures). Orders generally ship within 2 working days.

All shipped items are insured and require a signature upon receipt. QG&W use either Australia Post, specialist art transporters dependant on each artwork and delivery location.

The purchaser is responsible for the cost of shipping on framed works. Please also check your responsibility for any import requirements or restrictions, licences, duties, taxes and/or government charges that may apply.

Delivery times for artworks is between 1 – 2 weeks. Where an impression is on backorder, the purchaser will be notified of expected delivery time.

A purchaser seeking a refund for work purchased online will pay in full for the safe return of the artwork.

After the gallery is satisfied the work is in the condition that it was originally dispatched, a refund for the cost of the work will be sent.

There are no refunds for the original cost of transporting the work. No refund is payable in the event the artwork has been damaged in any way.

If you receive a damaged artwork or product, or one which does not match the original order, please notify QG&W immediately and return the work within 10 days. Queenscliff Gallery will investigate and advise how best to rectify or resolve the damage. The purchaser will be expected to provide all documentation along with images in the event a refund for damage is being sought.
