Artist’s Statement
This work came out of a most rewarding and exciting trip in 2024. A Totem Pole of endangered species across two diverse countries, Australia and Kenya.
I was invited to Nairobi, Kenya in 2024, teaching at Mizizi Learning Hub Primary School and then giving a 4 Day Intensive Workshop at the Uweze Gallery in Kibera to a number of up coming young artists.
I also spent a few days on safari which was unbelievably inspiring.
