Artist’s statement
On a clear winter night, a little person asked the Grandfather if Winter had come to stay and will it ever be warm again. Grandfather quietly answered, if one lies down on the ground and stay very still, one can hear the soft breathing of Spring as she lies sleeping at Winter’s foot, the clear tinkling of her dreams that will turn cold frosted flowers into the new season’s blooms.
