QG&W are thrilled to finally be able to announce another very exciting outcome from their trip to Venice.

In addition to the Peebles Print Prize (PPP) contribution of $4,000 generously sponsored by 360Q, the Streeton Family will be offering an all inclusive seven day residency at The Scuola Internazionale di Grafica in Venice valued at $5,000.

With the intention to offer this ‘Streeton’ intaglio print prize, Soula and Theo initiated a meeting with director, Lorenzo de Castro to discuss the potential residency and were shown around the highly regarded printmaking school which has welcomed, Angela Cavalieri, John Kelly and Geoffrey Ricardo in previous years.

It truly is a privilege for QG&W to have inaugurated the PPP in 2017 in honour of Graeme Peebles and to be able to grow the ongoing Australian intaglio print prize.

The Scuola Internazionale di Grafica in Venice was founded in 1969. Our spacious, professionally equipped studios, are located in the heart of Venice. Artists and students from all over the world, as well as Italians, share the Scuola’s activities.

The Streeton family have pledged the prize for two years. Scuola Internazionale di Grafica have extended their welcome for the award winner to partake in any art class running during their stay in addition to the 7 days access. More details will be posted when submissions open early 2019.

We welcome further sponsorship proposals for the PPP19.

Become a patron of the arts and help QG&W in their mission to enhance the arts culture in the community for locals and visitors by exhibiting the works of Australian artists, running specialty events and workshops, and offering print access to professional printmakers.
