It’s near seven years since QG Directors, Soula & Theo Mantalvanos acquired their 1868 Wesleyan Church. There has been much restoration and care work already completed and now, the inevitable mammoth task of restoring the over 150-year-old slate roof tiles has come.

Through the planned replacement of 5,000 slate tiles and 4 new vents, QG will have to remain closed.

What we definitely know: is that we can welcome QG patrons from July 19 – 30, where QG present SUSAN WALD’S Mungo paintings and prints in a solo exhibition at fortyfivedownstairs in Flinders Lane, Melbourne.

What we don’t know: is the length of time it will take for the weather-dependent restoration. Already, the restoration team and the materials required for the work have been impacted by COVID.

Inevitably our exhibitions have been affected. Please note the end date of DEBORAH KLEIN’S Rückenfigur exhibition and keep an eye on the QG August open days.

Please, stay posted and remember, you can keep following, perusing and acquiring via our social accounts and the website.
