Queenscliff Gallery (QG) is thrilled to share news of a new opportunity for exhibiting artists, the QG Artist’s Print Stipend, made possible by a very special QG patron.

As the word “stipend” suggests, the opportunity is a form of payment for work.

The Australian art scene is not its usual vibrant self at the moment, so we extend immense gratitude to Sabina Robertson for this support and injection of energy.

Sabina takes a keen interest in the works of artists and QG and recognises the difficult times that artist communities are facing. Wishing to contribute in a way that supports both artists and the gallery, the annual contribution aims to elevate the gallery’s awareness more widely, whilst also positioning Queenscliff as an arts-focused destination with a special focus on Australian printmaking.

This opportunity provides three artists per year with a $1,000 cash award that they put toward a limited-edition print or prints exclusively available at QG.

2026 Artist’s Print Stipend Recipients

QG takes this opportunity to congratulate the 2026 recipients of the QG Artist’s Print Stipend: Melinda Harper, Gwen Scott, and Kati Thamo.

The limited-edition artworks will become available once each artist has completed them. Pictured below is Gwen Scott’s Dahlia Tableau, which will be available at Gwen’s upcoming QG Focus August 13 – 31. Pre-orders welcome for the very limited edition of 8 now at QG for $500.00 unframed / $700.00 framed.
