Judging the The Bellarine North Rotary Club Easter Art Expo
The Bellarine North Rotary Club (BNRC) staged its Art Expo at Christian College, Drysdale during the Easter long weekend.
Returning for its 46th edition, the BNRC Easter Art Expo featured works from emerging and established artists across the Bellarine Peninsula in a wide range of media, including printmaking, oils, pastels, acrylics, mixed media and watercolours.
It was the QG Directors’ honour to be invited to judge the prize on Good Friday and to the very difficult task, as there were more than 270 entries.
Twelve prizes were sponsored by local businesses and individuals, totalling over $6,000, with a percentage of art sales going to the support of Rotary projects in the community.
In the process, QG Directors Soula and Theo Mantalvanos were thrilled to be introduced to the work of local artist Steve Salo, who as a result has now been consigned to the gallery much to the delight of both parties.
The QG Directors would like to express their gratitude to the BNRC for the invitation to judge the prize and also take this opportunity to welcome Steve Salo to their stable of artists.
